Valley Porcupine Dahlias have a Lovely Blend of Pink and White

Valley Porcupine

This smallish variety of dahlia is one of the easiest to grow. It also comes on a compact bush that grows to a very accommodating 3’ high and about 18” wide. Like most dahlias, Valley Porcupine, would benefit from a small stake to support the combined weight of the many blooms and foliage.

The blooms on this variety are usually about 3” in diameter and 2” in depth. This lovely blend of pink and white are ideal for an arrangement or bouquet and come on strong stems and with dark green that help display blooms in a very pleasing manner.

It is classified as a novelty, double center. Originated in the state of Washington. Grows well in the heat of the South, such as Atlanta and Birmingham, AL and up into Canada. All dahlias will die back if exposed to frost.
