Elsie Huston is an excellent dahlia for arrangements and show

Elsie Huston  is a dahlia that seems to glimmer in the broad day light.  It is one of the showier varieties we have grown and garden visitors are naturally drawn to admire the beautiful blooms.

“Elsie” grows to about 5’ high and produces blooms with diameters in the 8”-10” range.  She also provides very strong stems to keep the blooms erect, both on the plant, and in arrangements when cut and brought indoors.

It is classified as an A size, Informal decorative and grows well in the heat of the South, such as Atlanta or Birmingham and up into Canada. All dahlias will die back if exposed to frost.
